Spring & Wireform Manufacture

TWM provides a fully integrated facility for Spring manufacture, incorporating; Coiling, Grinding, Heat Treatment, Oiling, Chemical Passivation, Cleaning and Vapour Degreasing facilities. This integrated facility ensures total control and traceability throughout production and allows TWM to provide a fully scalable yet flexible approach to client specific production requirements.

TWM deliver both bespoke and off the shelve Compression Springs, Extension Springs, Torsion Springs, Wireforms and Flat springs / pressings working with a variety of materials including Stainless steel, Spring steel whether plain, tinned or galvanised, Music Wire, Phosphor bronze, Beryllium Copper, Brass, Copper, Chrome Vanadium, Chrome Silicon and many more. Protective finishes are also provided. TWM specialize in wire sizes from 0.1 mm – 4.00 mm holding material stock on-site. Complimenting our Coiling Division TWM also incorporates a Grinding Centre providing an extensive range of grinding facilities and scragging where required. We utilise over a dozen Spring Grinders enabling the grinding of variable sized springs catering for both mass and small volume production.

TWM’s state of the art finishing centre incorporates Heat treatment furnaces and ovens, Chemical passivation, cleaning and vapour degreasing capabilities. Our in-house R&D and Tooling centre utilise CAD technology and Helical spring design facilities enabling TWM to assist clients with early stage design and development through to both small and large quantity production.

TWM manufacture in accordance with Client specifications, from initial drawings or new designs (once designs are authorised). Throughout the production process TWM Inspectors regularly inspect production to ensure product conformity. Where potential problems are identified these are highlighted and appropriate remediable action implemented. Our Quality Department can fulfill ISIR, FMEA and SPC requirement.
